Dinosaurs!

This past Saturday we hit up the museum again (we go a lot if you haven’t noticed), but not just to play and explore this time. But to wait in a ridiculously long line for a ridiculously long time to see “Buddy” the dinosaur from the “Dinosaur Train.” Ada’s only seen the TV show a few times, and she doesn’t really care what we do with our time as long as it involves some sort of playing/entertainment, but I felt the need to take her and see this big, costumed creature. The waiting was not cool. And if you have or have ever had a one-and-a-half year old, you know that they do not WAIT patiently. In fact, they don’t “wait” at all. Especially not Ada. So we took turns… one of us would wait in the line for the dinosaur, while the other ran around and played with Ada, then switch. Seemed like forever (probably about 40 minutes), until we finally got to meet Buddy. All that waiting for probably 45 seconds of dino time. But Ada loved every second, trying to hug him, trying to grab his teeth, and didn’t want to say goodbye. And even though I’m pretty sure Doug wanted to kill me for such a “bad idea,” it wasn’t too horrible, Ada was happy, and she left with this dino grabber that she proceeded to play with the rest of the day.

So after meeting Buddy, we sped out of there and flew down to Gymboree for a class. We’ve been cramming in as much of those unlimited Summer classes as we can before our membership is up in a few weeks, plus Doug hadn’t seen Ada play there before. Oh, and it was too freakin hot outside to do much else. She was her usual self, climbing all over the place and having an absolute blast. The rest of the day was pretty lazy… we had lots of off-an-on storms/rain over the weekend, so we really didn’t do much other than that. Here’s that dino grabber I was talking about… Ada loves it. She’s been playing with it a lot and roaring like a dinosaur since Saturday…

And a sweet smile during bath time…

I love that sweet smile from the bathtub picture. Also love her cute little outfit that she has on while ‘petting’ the dinosaur. Good thing you’ll have another precious little girl to pass along those cute clothes! :)

And thank you, now the Dinosaur Train intro song is stuck in my head. That’s a favorite of Keat’s!
